Question: Need help advertising?

So my dad is trying to start his own computer company. He's been laid off for a while and we REALLY need the money. He has business cards and fliers that he hands out... my question is, how else could we get people to start calling. He's certified and everything.... but no ones calling. We're both hoping because we're very desperate. Please help!!! he has a website too and we post fliers all over n give stores his cards website = http:/ / www.technicalsolutionsinc.com

You can try putting advertisement at ur local movie theatre before the movie starts they usually show ads before the movie starts from local businesses

Why don't you try putting up posting on some free advertising sites? I would suggest gohuman.com -- you can get a free basic account which lets you place 5 free listings -- they might not be overly active in your area yet but I do know they'll keep your listing on indefinitely for now, even though there's technically a 60 day limit, because they're trying to build circulation. There's also craigslist and backpage, and you can certainly find others if you look around.

If you don't mind, send me the website and I can provide some suggestions on how to make his website ranked higher on search engines. For example, if you google the service that your dad provides and your city name, does his business come up? ( "computer company " is a little vague). - Tyler
