Question: Does anyone know if hp or its affiliates refill inkjet cartridges?

Someone claims they do but I think its on a limited basis instead of every inkjet they make.

No, they do not simply refill them. Portions are reused, but that is not the same. The actual purpose of their cartridge retrun programs is to prevent the remanufacturers from being able to get the empty cartridges. This is both physical availability, and the legal issue of the contract you enter when you agree to return the empty one for "recycling. "

No. I do not think they refill them as in you send them your empties and they refill and return them to you. Printer manufactures make their money on selling high priced cartridges. I cannot see them selling a cheaper alternative as they are trying to put out of business the refilling industry not join it!
