At the worst, nothing happens to them and they stay in the quarantine area forever. At the best, they get deleted with the anti-virus program. Under no circumstances are they released. If Windows still needed them, you'd have learned that long before you went to remove the A-V. One more thing: Do NOT just go and delete the anti-virus directory or files within it. ALWAYS use the provided Remove Program entry. Except for Norton/ Symantec, in which case it may be better to use the official free Norton Removal Tool (NRT) because their software has become so convoluted even they can't always remove one part of it successfully. Hope that helps. |
