Question: Norton anti virus not starting up after being infected with internet security 2010?

My computer was recently infected with internet security 2010, after trying a few online guides to remove the virus i do seem to have been succsesful, the icon has dissapeared and the pop- ups have stoped, howver theres one programme i can no long start up, which is norton anti- virus. Any ideas on why this might be happening? Thank you |

The virus has probably disabled it and its still remains disabled - goto add/ remove programs and then you should see a repair option for it which will re-enable it |

I dont recommend you to use Norton, I recommend you to use BitDefender which has been choosen as number 1 by several ratings. Use it and update it. Your system will be clean.The things which affected your computer is rootkits. Use RootKitRevealer to tackle it. Also use Malware Bytes for extra security. If you have an internet connection use a firewall instead of windows firewall. |

1st thing nortan sucks no offence but its so well know that most viruas makers make them to get around it.. ok to fix it get superaintispyware this should find and remove the stuff that nortan dident get rid of becuse the viruas is hiding some ware still dissabeling nortan so download superanitspyware and run a full scan make shure to check all the boxs this shouled work go to my youtube for more help with superaintispyware youtube.com/ turdbug superantispyware.com/ |
