How do I get rid of a fake "Antivirus software alert"?
About every few seconds a " Antivirus Soft" notice shows up above my taskbar and in a popup window thing saying my computer has a virus. My computer doesn't have a virus but I can't get rid of the notices. It asks if I want to activate my antivirus software but when I click yes it just brings me to a site to purchase whatever this thing is. Two messages pop up. The first one is small and has a red boarder with an exclamation mark and says " Antivirus software alert" and says " INFILTRATION ALERT" under that it says " Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. It could be a password stealing attack, a Trojan dropper or similar" Then under that it gives details saying " Attack from 145.20.221.211, port 6261 Attacked port 43694 Threat Win32 Nugel.E" then it asks if I want to block the attack or not. If I click yes, it brings me to a website asking to purchase something, if I hit no, it will just continue popping up. The larger pop up says " Your computer is infected by spyware 34 serious threats have been found while scanning your files and registry. It is strongly recommended that you disinfect your computer and activate Realtime secure protection against future intrusions" . Can someone please help me? Almost anything I try gets blocked by this thing saying it's infected, I cant even open my task manager. These notices aren't from something I downloaded on a website, they pop up when I'm not on the internet and I didn't download it to my computer. Please someone help, I would greatly appreciate it. And if you could, provide steps on how to get rid of it. Please and thank you
