I've seen the bad reviews on Cnet about Norton 360 2010 and McAfee Total Protection 2010.Can someone tell me who out of everyone has the best software and what versions?

Hey I am currently running Norton, but the college I'm going to says they don't accept Norton, so I have to uninstall it and change to something they do accept. They offer this list, but I don't really know which one is the best of them all. Does anyone know the pros cons of these? Which one should I go for? I'm on a Windows 7, if it matters. Their main concern is that they don't trust it, citing its frequent upgrades as worrisome since it might change something important. Since my entire school is on the same wifi network, they want to make sure it's something they trust, and we have to visit the IT office because our computers will work on the wifi network. Trust me, if I could, I would keep Norton. Less hassle and I trust it more. However, they're going to check it to see if it has " approved software" before they make it network capable.

Which one is the best antivirus and why? AVG Internet Security or Avast 5 Free?
