What is the best anti spyware, antivirus and such.?
I'm not to up to date on what the difference is in all of these but I would like to download a good and FREE program that gets rid of and protects me from spyware and viruses and such. I dont know if I need more then one program for both or if there is one out there that does it all. It has to be FREE because I dont have a credit card or money. I would really appreciate it. My kids play on the computer a lot and I would like to keep it protected. Thanks in advance I also want to know if its safe to have more than one antivirus like AVG and Super antispyware?

Hello, first of all I really need your help and I appreciate anything you can tell me to help me. Yesterday I was on a website when suddenly my computer acted violently... all sorts of pop up messages etc.I closed internet, and many critical errors were occuring " please tell microsoft about this problem" also many webpages were opening upI unplugged my internet connection right away this is another computer but it kept bringing a message that " web site unavailable offline" Well, what I need help with is... I ran several antispyware programs antivirus... hundreds of objects turned up, I applied the recommended actions, but every time I scan again they just appear there again... it's like im going in circles. How can I get this stuff off my computer forever please The main file that keeps popping up is called downloader.small.dxm yet there are many others also.Thank you so much

What spyware, antivirus, and firewall programs are good?
I currently use Norton Antivirus, Spybot search and destroy, Webroot Spysweeper, Ad aware SE personal, Comodo Firewall, SpywareBlaster, IObit SmartDefrag, Novatix Cyberhawk, Spyware Doctor. Are these programs good? Are there any better programs to replace or add? Is Comodo good? Are there better firewalls? Any better Antiviruses than Norton? Is it bad to have all these programs? I prefer free programs. but I don't mind paying.I also use firefox

I am looking for advice for the best spy ware antivirus protection to purchase.My computer is infected with the Internet Security 2010 virus. I have been researching the virus online. Have tried the manual removers. Sorry to say I am not computer savvy enough to remove the virus. I did " remove" it using directions I found from TC on YA. It returned. I have been dealing with this for several days. Time to buy a program. The program I am looking at is " AntiMalware Pro" . The YA member " The King" recommended this package. It seems to be a good deal. $29.00 one time payment. Combining spyware, antivirus, malware, etc. on one computer.?
I know that it is bad to combine two anti virus programs on the same computer. But, how about other malware? I'm running Windows XP home edition, and have AVG free edition as the anti virus. I also am running Ad Muncher, and Spybot SD Resident, behind the Sygate Firewall Have I screwed myself up? Do I need to remove one or more of these programs? If so, how do I repair the damage which I did? Or, am I OK, and don't need to worry? Thanks in advance. Also, if I'm OK, what should I avoid in the future?
