OK, I wa recently on a rom website rom gods that lead to a website that gave me a virus. It put porn shortcuts on my deskto, and made popups about anti virus every 2 seconds. so i found the source, a file called Anvi, and deleted it manually. Now the popups stopped and the computer doesnt shut down or freeze. but the internet takes 5 10 minutes to load a page. It's a plugged in linksys router, and everyone else's wireless works fine. Is there any trace or leftover thing i need to do.I went to My computer, c drive, program files, anvi and deleted the folder. then i went to recycle bin and eliminated it.Thanks for helpingi found the virus but when i try to delete it it syas its protected or is in use
Quarantined a trojan virus on my computer, tried to delete the file it was in?
It was a trojan virus, contracted from deviantArt.com it's called JS FAKESCAN.SMI and my antivirus program, Trend Micro, found and quarantined it. The virus was located in the Temporary Internet Files. I opened Trend Micro, looked up the Quarantined list, found it, and deleted it from my computer. I deleted the whole path it was located in Temporary Internet Files . Tell me, is the virus really gone? How do I make sure it's 100 percent gone? and, when I deleted it, did I do any damage by deleting the entire folder it was in?Also, what is Safe Mode? How to get in Safe Mode? How to get out of Safe Mode?

my computer has become infected with a virus. when i search for something on google and click on a link im sent to a different link. ive found two trojans and deleated them but the " link hack" virus is still there. any ideas on what this is and how i could get rid of it

How to remove hiloti.gen.g trojan virus?
I found out that it is a fairly new virus, but Windows Defender somehow is unable to detect it. I've also got McAfee Secruity Scan Plus and McAfee OAS but it only tells me that there is a virus and it doesn't remove it. I don't know how I got the virus but I am really worried as to how to remove it. Please tell me what I should do and whether I should avoid signing into mail, buying anything online or anything similar. Thank You I'd prefer not to buy anything if possible. If there is a trustworthy virus protecter that you really recommend, then I will take that into consideration. Thank You.
I got a trojan virus and it screwed up my computer, help please!!!!?
okay well i was running malwarebyes the program and it said i had a trojan.agent virus or something like that. How i got it, i was just browsing on safe sites and then a download window popped up and probably downloaded the virus. So when my anti virus programs were done they told me to reboot my computer so i did and when i went to windows log in screen i logged on and then there was nothing, just black my background was already black btw , there were no icon to click on so i cant get on internet or games, nothing. I can't do anything at all on it, i cant open anything up even when i boot up into safe mode, nothing. I am very concerned and frustrated right now. I have done everything i can think of doing to make it work, so i guess ill have to format my vista computer, i don't have any important info that ill lose, just research for a project, but i have like 80 % of that research in my head lol. But that is the last thing i can think of is cleaning the computer and make it fresh again.didn't i just say i can not see anything when im logged on vista, i mean there is not icons there is no menu to do system restore, nothing it is all black... I can not access anything. There i no menu and icons...ya the icon for " start" is not even there. I can not see the start icon to even do system restore, it is all black, nothing. just the mouse is there that is it.okay i dont think some of you are readthing this. But I CAN NOT access the internet on the computer that has the problem, i can not download things if i cant click the icon or access the internet, it is black, not icon, start menu no nothing to download anything.

i downloaded a file that was a trojan my anti virus AVG free told so i deleted the file i then did a scan of my computer and it says there is no threat but when i start my computer up it always pops up a history of threats and what it did to fix them for the trojan it only says moved to virus vault does that mean its gone> ?no i'm not using more than one anti virus just avg.the pop is about a tracking cookie not a trojan but it shows the trojan in the past threat list.and when i scan avg it says no threats detected.

I downloaded a torrent avg free with a serial key and everything but a few weeks ago i got a message saying something about how my serial key could not be identified so they said i have 30 days before trial expires. A while back I downloaded a file and it was a trojan virus. Now my avg is going to expire in a week and i am thinking of downloading avast, but what will happen once avg expires? will the virus start corrupting my pc? and how can i permanently delete it from my pc?
Have you ever had a Trojan virus caused by a fake Anti-Virus program called Wireshark?
My computer has McAfee, Total Protection Service, it's a very good program. On average I do 3 scans daily on my entire computer, I scan new files I download, I don't even have much downloaded things on my computer. My computer's very fast, clean, and I practically patrol it like a guard. Yesterday, though, McAfee started acting up, and popping up saying " File deleted C Parent Desktop Wireshark" or something like that, and I should have paid more attention, since I never remembered downloading a file named " Wireshark." I did a system scan and nothing came up. So I turned it off and went to bed, I was tired and it didn't occur to me I needed to check All Program Files, etc, so I could delete it. The next day my mom got on before I woke up, and when I saw all these boxes popping up along with other unknown crap, all she had to say was " oh yeah, just click this and then this and it goes away." 'Goes away' my ass. I was shaking and did a scan while fighting to keep the Wireshark windows closed. McAfee finished the scan, and said it found 2 threats and deleted 2 threats. I looked at the detailed report and sure enough, it said it found 2 Trojans Wireshark being at the top of the list. Poor McAfee, it was still chugging along trying to contain Wireshark, it said it deleted it but it couldn't for some other reason. I went to Program Files and deleted everything with Wireshark in the name. FINALLY, FINALLY it ended, the thing is off my system, but now it left every program I have except for internet inoperable. We're calling support and WILL get that fixed, but this sucks. Nothing leads anywhere, all that comes up is a box saying " Application not found." What it was, was, it's an Anti Virus program that wants to scam money out of you saying almost everything you have is highly dangerous, so it can convince you that you MUST pay this certain amount to get this software Malware to " remove" that stuff. Aka, it will do its nasty act ruining your computer after you bought it. Really, it's like you're paying to kill your computer. ANYWOO, has any of you had this? Long story above, but I wanted to explain all that happened.
