Do I need a new air pump for my aquarium?
Hi, I think my air pump might be broken, but i'm not sure... There was water leaking out of the pipe going back inside the air pump.Here's how it's set up.I have a pipe going from the pump to a 3 way splitter, the first goes into a small fizzer, the second goes along to the other side of the tank to a larger fizzer. It used to work fine... but I think I might have buggered it somehow because there was water leaking into the pump... But the other thing is, when I blow down the pipe, it's actually hard to blow down... so what is going on?Thanks.

An aquarium of just guppies....?
I have 4 male guppies at the moment, but I would like to have a tank full of just guppies... Can I have just males, and lots of them, about 12 with no agression biting problems? Thanks

Could a marine live sand be used for freshwater aquarium?
I was wondering cause it looks great and i was just wondering P and i like sand and i cant find any sand for freshwater lol if there's any website i could order freshwater sand that'd be great thank everyone

My Red Ear Slider will face the side of its aquarium and shake its hands above its head. Is this normal?
I'm not sure what sex the turtle is and its the only one in its tank. I've read that RES's will shake their hands in front of other turtles for territory mating... is it possible that my turtle is looking at its' reflection and doing this?

I need to clean my aquarium...?
I really need to clean my aquarium, but I have only just realised that I have no aquarium salt at the moment... Can I still clean my tank without the salt? I have the AquaSafe, just not salt...Thanks

The filter for my turtles' aquarium is plugged in but the motor is not even running. Do I need a new one?
They're not even my turtles, but the person they belong to won't be around for a while. I don't want to buy a filter if I don't need to. But it looks like I do. Could something else be wrong?

New aquarium- fish compatibility questions?
Hi,I'm starting a new aquarium with some angelfish and am trying to figure out what fish would be compatible with the angelfish. I've been interested in adding some tiger barbs, zebrafish danios and a cory cat or two. I know the angelfish can be aggressive, especially with feeding, and I've heard that the danios like to chase and that the barbs can be fin nippers. I've also heard that the issues with the danios and the barbs can be reduced if the fish are kept in schools of at least six. The angelfish are what I'm centering the aquarium around the other fish are just some breeds that I had considered. Am I going to run into issues keeping these guys together? What are some good tank mates for angelfish? Thanks

Are these fish good in 15 gallon aquarium?
Im thinking of getting these fish 1 blue gourami , 5 guppes MALE , and 10 neon tetras. 15 gal 360gph filter and a 50w heater. well planted and 40watt light flourecencent 2 x 20w.

How do reinforce the side panels of my fish aquarium in order to prevent it from leaking?
I've just recently found a 55 gallon fish tank made of out mica which I've noticed it had tape wrapped around the edges of the fish tank. I wonder if the tape wrapped around it is for support or to stop it from leaking. So can I use a reinforcing agent such as silicon inside the fish tank to glue together the edges or do I have to use some other material agent that is specialized for fish tank reinforcement only.

Fish keepers; what do you think of corner aquariums?
my fish is currently living in a regular old rectangular tank . i have been thinking about getting a nice corner tank. is there any advantages or disadvantages to corner tanks? what is your opinion of them? thank you

Huge aquarium problem anyone help?10 points!?
i need help with my 55 gallon freshwater aquarium its been running for about 4 months and this is whats in it right now, cleaned slate, play sand, plants, pvc pipes, Ceramic pot, penguin 350 filter,heater,light and 2 convict cichlids and 25 fry. the problem is that the water is discolored tan and there are brown algae looking spots on the glass, there was driftwood in the aquarium but i took that out thinking that was the source of the discoloration but it wasn't. i do frequent water changes as well. but im now thinking its the sand...which posses a major problem, how do i get it out of my tank with 2 pairs of convicts and lots of fry? the only other fish tank i have is a 20 gallon community freshwater tank. so can anyone please help?
