Recommend me a 150 gallon aquarium!?
I have a 320 litre aquarium now and am looking for maybe a 150 gallon tank in the future, but i cant seem to find any nice looking modern ones on the web My present tank is an osaka 320, i like the juwel vison 450 but it is not big enough i think I prefer modern looking tanks and units and with a dark wood to match my room.

How difficult is it to keep a saltwater (marine) aquarium?
I want to start a salt water fish tank and get a lionfish, and maybe some clownfish or parrot fish... something along those lines. How hard is it to start and maintain these kind of fish tanks? And how expensive? I have no idea about the sizes I cant use my arms on here to explain.. A big one though, but not huge. lol

What are your thoughts on the new edge aquarium and what fish could i keep in it?

Why is my aquarium water green?
i have water in my aquarium which is always green no matter how much i clean it. I just cleaned my tank yesterday and the filter thorougly but for some reason the water pouring out of the filter is green. I don't know what the problem is. I read somewhere that its algae and that it is beneficial but the water is so green that is hard to even look at the fishes. Please can someone suggest me what to do. I am really concerned about them.

Can I use a 150 watt (40 gal) heater in a 20 gallon aquarium?
Will it like boil my fish? Can I just keep it on low? It came with my 20 gallon kit,so I assume it would be okay. I haven't put it in yet, should I buy a smaller one?It is a Neptune brand heater

How hard would it be to keep a 10/20 gallon salt water aquarium?
Okay I would love to have a 10 or 20 gallon salt water aquarium all I really want would be is a clown fish or 2 and maybe a hermit crab and some shrimp. I've had a freshwater aquarium for about 2 years and i think i'm ready for a salt water. My dad had a salt water aquarium and it was beautiful so if i really needed immediate help i would ask him. So the things are how hard is it, how much would it cost, what would i need, and do you think i should do it?and also i might be considering a Hagen Fluval Edge Aquarium and ive heard you can do a salt water set up on one of them.

When should I put my spawning mop in my i fish tank/aquarium?
I have 4 common gold fish, all 2 years old, which are displaying some spawning behaviour, however the two females do not look pregnant yet. When should I put my spawning mop in? Do I put it in to encourage the female to grow eggs? or should I wait until there is definately a pregnant fish in there? OR some people have suggested I wait until she has already started laying eggs and then put it in there quickly There is a lot of confusing information on the internet

What are the benefits of lucky bamboo in a fresh water aquarium?
Hi,I have a 10gallon fresh water aquarium with 10 ghost shrimp.I also have 1lucky bamboo in the aquarium with the leaves clearly out of the water.I know that they grow and stay alive in water like this because it has been for about a year and a half.My question is " What are the benefits of lucky bamboo in a fresh water aquarium?" What do I need to start up a healthy aquarium?
I would very much like to start an aquarium. I haven't 1 since I was a kid, when you basically had the choice of what size tank and what brand filter. I went to take a look at some at a petstore the other day, thye had alot of those cool starter tanks, that come with the lid & gravel & some folage & filter & all, but it seems that there are all sorts of diffferent filter options & lights & things & I have no idea what is actually needed for a healthy tank or what is just overpriced & unneeded. There seem to be several different opinons online & i'm lost. I haven't decided on an exact size yet, I now I want one that is bigger than a standard 10 gallon, but those huge 55 gallon tanks are just to big for my home, something in the middle. I have cats so I want the tank & the lid to be sturdy & hard to move.I was looking into guppies or those fish that are floresecent according to the petstore do well under a blacklight. Both seemed to be pretty, easy to take care of fish, some algea eaters ofcourse. Everybody says goldfish are easiest but I have no desire for any kind of goldfish as we had those as a child & they just seem to keel over if you look at them funny.

Is there a reason NOT to use disstilled water for an aquarium?

Aquarium glass measurements?
ok i posted a question on fish a while ago and got some need input, thank you to everyone that assisted me with my shark tank setup, im a little more informed now, and i've decided to make an aquarium or at least considering it i haved a few questions ans im always up for insightful info.1. a common 100 gallon tank size is 48'24'24 so ive been told i am wondering what thickness the glass would have to be in order to withstand 100 gallons of water with those dimensions.2. what strength and type epoxy would you recommend for sealing the corners, and what type materiel would best be used as a brace on the corners?3. could anyone give me a ballpark price on what the glass i would require would end up costing me for the 4 sides and bottom?4. on the fish side, i would like some advice recommendations on what i can do with this list of fish, ive been misinformed by a load of sites telling me an array of information, so some hands on exp would be nice on what will coexist well in a 100 150 gallon tank.list of desired fish columbian sharkram cichlid heard these guys can be agressive with other cichlids but willleave other types of fish alone? bala sharkred tail sharkalbino rainbow sharkdragonfishBlack Kuhlii Loach african butterfly fishelephant nose black ghost knife fishplecodwarf pufferfish 2 3can anyone also recommend a nicely colored " filler fish" for a setup close to this?thank you
