Need Help Setting up My salt water aquarium?
hey hows it going ppl ? I recently got into the hobby of salt water aquariums. A few months back when I first started to gain interest my friend gave me a 8 gallon bio cube so alls i had in it was 2 clown fish and some invertabres... he set up the tank for me then i began buying the fish... now he has taken the tank back and I am planning on buying a 29 gallon bio cube.. is this a good tank? Can i get some bigger fish.. i know i cant go to big but what are my options? Also does the bio cube come with everything i need? What else would I have to purchase?ok so there is a local fish store by my house and they are 1 of the best around ppl fro mother states come here just to buy stuff they have premade salt water so i can just buy that right? as for sand and live rock how much sand do i put at the bottem of the tank.. then i will add the live rock and then the water then i let settle for a few days be4 i put in fish right? and if i do want to put coral in what kind of bulb should i get?

Cloudy aquarium water after setup?
I have just set up my new planted tank with a sand substrate. I washed the sand thoroughly until the water run clear. I have had the tank set up for about and week and bit. I am running an Eheim Professional 3 filter with purigen in the system. The tank has always had a kind of white grey cloudy colour to the water. I done a 50 % water change yesterday and was hoping that would make a difference unfortunately it hasn't made any difference. What could be the problem?Thanks for all your advice. It is a fairly heavy planted tank I am waiting for my new CO2 regulator to arrive and then I will start adding CO2. The tank has no fish in it at the moment maybe once I start adding the CO2 I will introduce a few cardinal tetras to provide a small amount of waste or should I just add some fish food.

I was placed in a rehabilitation center for 2 months. While I was gone my wife did nothing except feed the fish. Upon my return it looks as if someone spray painted the front glass green. I have tried scrubbing with a sponge, but that doesn't touch it. Is there anything I can do to clean this without scratching it. I can't believe the algae is that tough to remove, any advice?
How many fancy goldfish can I put in a 25 gallon aquarium?
Hello I recently bought a used aquarium and was told it was 29 gallons. I planned to put in 2 fancy goldfish after it cycled. I've heard that the rule is 20 gallons for the first and 10 for each additonal, so I thought I could put 2 in a 29 gallon tank. Well, of course I got home an measured the dimensions just to make sure, and when I put it in an aquarium volume calculator I found out it's only a 25 gallon tank. I know some would say this is only enough space for 1, but is there any way I could put 2? I don't plan to get an oranda or a ryukin I've heard these grow the largest , but just 2 fantails. PetSmart says they grow up to 6 inches, but I hear different things everywhere. I've also heard that the 20 10 rule is for comets even though I know that they actually need MUCH more space , and that fancies only need 10 gallons per fish, so I don't know what to believe. If I get a filter that filters 30 gallons, is it possible to still put 2 fantails in a 25 gallon, or is it a terrible idea? Thanks
