Fish keepers; what do you think of corner aquariums?

Question: Fish keepers; what do you think of corner aquariums?

(Posted by: fragile. on 2010-02-08 15:25:12)

My fish is currently living in a regular old rectangular tank . i have been thinking about getting a nice corner tank. is there any advantages or disadvantages to corner tanks? what is your opinion of them? thank you

Well it can be hard to clean the back because they are so far back in the corner, and because the tank is in the corner you cant stand on the side of the tank to get to the back, there isnt anything wrong with rectangular tanks either by the way i have 7 and i prefer them better than corner tanks, octaganal tanks, or 180 moon tanks

I really don't like them. fish love to swim In my opinion the longer the better. corner aquariums would look better for a reef for example but not for fish. I feel that most would feel more comfortable in a rectangle tank.you also would not be able to put as many fish in a 55 gallon corner tank as you would in a 55 rectangle tank because more surface area= more oxygen to support more fish. so I would just stick with the regular rectangle tanks just my opinion
