I had 5 goldfish and 3 died a couple days later.Why?! and Help!Quickly!?
On Saturday of March 12 2010 I bought 5 ordinary goldfish. A couple days later 3 DIED And the weird thing is , there not rising to the surface I have a filter tank so the water is clean. I also have this bottle of Prime which removes Chlorine,Chloramine, and Ammonia. I bought it from the pet store. The water temperature is good, but i never see them eating either, i give them this goldfish type of food that look like discs. They are very healthy. I also give them tetrafin goldfish flakes it is suppose to give you cleaner and clearer water guarantee. They say it is a nutritionally balanced diet for all goldfish. But please these fish are the very first pets i ever had, and I don't want them to die in less than 4 days So please any one please? I care for them a lot I don't want them to die and they don't want to die either obviously . PLEASE HELP I CARE ABOUT THEM

When i drop the feed flakes into the tank one fish is quick to eat what i provide. However the other fish tries to eat but when he does he takes in the food...then spits it out...then takes it in....then spits is out...then finally he gives up and doesn't eat....I don't know what to do I am afraid he might die...Ive taken every precaution necessary in order to ensure the health of both the fishes i installed a filter, an oxidizer, a real living plant, and i even use these tablets to make sure the tap water is safe for the fish but I'm afraid he is going to starve please someone help

I have a small, 2 inch red cap orando goldfish who seems to be loving his 5 gallon tank. We know we need to get him a bigger tank 30 gallon is our goal , but we thought we'd start him out in the 5 gallon we already had a five gallon . I perform 25 % water cahnges weekly and monitor water quality with a 7 in one test kit weekly. My questions are 1 How long is it acceptable to keep him in the 5 gallon? 2 Will it really stunt his growth to do so? 3 If we would like to have a total of, say, 5 fancy goldfish, what size tank should we buy? Also, I always see Red Cap orandas and black moors together at the fish shop. Is there a reason for this? Should I stick to that combination when setting up my fancy goldfish group? lastly, the placement of the tank I have an upstairs office. T he temp in there can fluctuate from hotter high 70s to colder in the winter low 50s....would aheater regulate the temp in there? Could it get too hot, though, because the room temp can get hotter? There is a huge bump on my goldfish.?
I had one guppy and about 5 comet 1 year old goldfish. I bought them a feeding block melts slowly for 10 day because I was going the China for 14 day. It was only for 10 days but I thought it wouldn't be a problem. When I came back, only 2 orange comets were left they are about 1 year old and 3 4 inches long. I saw a skeleton so I cleaned the tank. One of my alive fish has a bump right next to its gills the right of its gills . There is something under the scales creating a bump. The bump was half a centimeter long, and about 3 millimeters think. Both fish are acting fine but what is the bump. It seems to be getting bidder and how do I get rid of it? How do I cure my fish?
Why is My Goldfish burying himself?
I won my goldfish, Conan, today from a festival. I noticed he acted a little weird from the time I got him. He kept swimming to the bottom of the little baggy they put him in. He kept swimming to the lover corners of the baggy. When I took him home to get aquainted with the other goldfish, He was still acting weird. He swims low and occasionally pushes up the pebbles and acts as if he's burying himself. I don't think he's eating his food either. Now he's begging to swim around a little but he still goes back down to the pebbles and does the whole burying routine. What's a matter?My tank is fitered and is ammonia free. I have 3 small goldfish in a tank of good size for their sizes. Nothings wrong with the other fish. I don't want Conan to die. '
Goldfish gulping for air at top of tank.?
10 gallon tank bought 2 months ago with 2 small goldfish. One died this morning after spending most of his time gulping for air at the top, the other is more active but spends most of his time gulping at the top too and I fear he's on his way to the great fishbowl in the sky. Tank has filter with biological doodad and has been maintained as suggested water changes each week water conditionner for chlorine .I bought a master test kit today and every single test is OK. Amonia nada. Nitrate nada. Nitrite nada. pH is 7.5.The fish at the pet store look like they're having a good time. Mine looks like he's miserable.Maybe it's me? Maybe I'm taking their breath away?I should add that I have done 2 water changes 30 % each time within the last 24 hours in trying to save my now deceased goldfish. This might explain low readings from the test kit.However, I would've expected the se water changes to have positive impact on remaining fish but he seems to be struggling as much as before.
I Have Goldfish, Tank Too Small.?
I fell in love with fish. I think fish are so cute and amazing to watch. My brother neglected his fish, and didn't feed them or clean the tank. I felt so sorry for them, so i cleaned out the tank and fed them and brought them up to my room. I named them Frankie & Benny. They are pretty happy up here.
