hey all, i want to get a saltwater aquarium kit, i have been keeping saltwater fish i.e red tail sharks, tiger barbs, clown loach ect for a a few years and i would like to set up a saltwater tank setup that wont destroy my moneys. i dont have a set budget and would like to start out on some clown fish if you could tell me other good beginner fish that wood be great i saw a 29 gallon tank that was called the bio cube for 900 w stand but I'm sure i can get it much cheaper elsewhere. i live in southern Ontario, and I'm looking at 30 gallon tanks. so all advice is appreciated

How to set up and start my salt water aquarium?
Ok today i just bought all new supplies for my fish tank to turn it into salt water. I cleaned it yesterdasy and moved all the fish to differnet tanks. And drained it and now it is sitting empy Here is a list of what i bought Marineland 200gph bio wheel filter 30 pounds of aragonite live sand 48 pounds of Instant ocean salt Hydrometer 140 watt heater Life glo light bulbs chunk of life rock now i am setting this up in my 29 gallon fish tank. Now would someone please tell me how to set this thing up from step one?? i get the filling part but some people say fill the fish tank and mix the salt in the tank, and others say mix it in buckets then dump it in the tank. Then also when the salt content is right can you put the sand in right away or should you wait?? and when you put the sand in you should shut your filters off??FIRST TIME TRYING A SALT WATER TANK you may know that already lol
Help with new salt water aquarium?
I recently got a 110 gallon salt water tank. I just put some damsels in to help cycle the tank about two weeks ago. the pet store is going to buy them back in a month so i can add the fish i want. I also have some live sand and two pieces of live rock and two fake. there are 15 damsels. one day i noticed some white goopy stuff growing on the fake rocks and now i have what looks like red algae on the sand and one of the live rocks. i was wondering what i could do about it. i dont think i should add any clean up crew guys yet because my ammonia just started to get high which means the cycle is starting. the pet store suggested i wait to add any new fish but that was before we saw the algae. is it bad for the live rock to have algae on it? should i get an urchin or something to clean it? i cant get any crustaceans because im planning to get a lion fish and an eel which would eat them but if you know of some crustaceans that would help please list them and maybe i can work something out.thanks for your help

Salt water aquarium - What are some beautiful fish/organisms that i can put in the same tank?
I have a fish tank and id like to make it a salt water one i know it takes months to prepare and im aware on how to do this but im curious what fish starfish shrimp i will be able to put in the same tank, or even if that is possible. and any suggestions on what fish would be nice in the same tank, its a fairly large tank, im not too sure the gallons i dont have it yet and anything else you can tell me that you think could be helpful, would be great,Thanks in advance
