My neon tetra is nipping my new fish? URGENT PLEASE HELP?
I had a neon tetra in my tank before I bought a penguin fish, guppy, angel fish, and cleaner, and my neon tetra keeps chasing my guppy around the tank and nipping it's tale and sides, and now i've noticed it doing it both to my guppy AND penguin. So, just now I put my neon tetra in another little bowl with gravel and water from the original tank. I don't know what to do about this, can someone tell me if I should put him back in the original tank or buy another tetra or something? PLEASE HELP, I'm about to leave for 7 hours and I won't be back till later and I don't want him to die. Help please
Are my neon tetra and platy fish pregnant?
I have had 3 assorted platys and 3 neon tetras for about 5 months. after about the 1st month the assorted platy got very big. I know that they give birth at night and can be eaten over night. I know the platy is a female for a fact the other 2 platys are males and aren't nearly as big. I don't know if my platy is just fat or pregnant. My neon got big very quickly about 3 or 4 weeks after i got them. I don't know if the neon is a male or female, and I don't know how to tell if it is a male or a female. I would like to know if they are pregnant. Can I add 3 to 4 ghost shrimp to a Glofish/Danio/Neon tetra tank?
I have a 30 gallon tank 50 gallon filter with 6 glofish, 3 Zebra danios, and 6 neon tetras soon to be 10 . I had an pleco that was obviously getting too large 5in for the tank so I sold him, but now I have an empty bottom on my tank. I want to add 3 to 4 ghost shrimp but I'm not sure if I should with the danios glofish. I've been told they don't get along with most small fish and shrimp including neons even though they are all happy in my tank for over two years now and I don't want to sacrifice the shrimp to the danio's. I have plenty of plants and a cave for them to hide in. I've looked into otos but I would need 3 or more and I don't have any live plants like they would need, and I really don't have the time for the added work plants would require. And I'm not sure that wouldn't be too many fish in the tank, even with the larger filter. Does anyone know if the danios glofish would get along with ghost shrimp? And before anyone says it, I know glofish and zebra danios are technically the same thing. Everyone always has to tell me that
Neon tetra desease??
i just got a few neon tetras and idk if one has it or its red part near its tail is supposed to be a pinkish color. will it turn to neon tetra desease or is it naturally pink. its located further back than the blue neon in front of its tail fins. will it turn white like neon tetra disease?? or could it be stressed. if neither what could it be??????
My neon tetra keeps floating upside down but everytime i hit the tank he starts swimming. whats wrong?
How do I know if my neon tetra is ready to spawn?
I bought 5 neons about a month ago and I just noticed today that it was getting fatter. She seems to be having trouble staying towards the bottom of the tank and swims kinda vertically to get to the bottom. Is she ready to spawn or does she have abdominal issues??
Will my guppy harm my flame tetra?
he is following him around like crazy i cant tell if he is nipping his fins they don't look hurt but he does not come close enough for me to really tell should i be worried or is the guppy just following him he does not do it all the time and when he does it he stops when the flame tetra stops copys his exact moves

My tetra fish just fertilized their eggs. Should I remove them immediately? Or when the fry hatch?
I was also wondering what you should feed them if they actually hatch. Would there be anything to feed fry available at Petco or another pet store?
Black skirt tetra eggs?
I came home and I saw black clumps on the plastic plants in my tank. I have 3 black tetras and 3 glow light tetras. I noticed before the I believe the female tetra was swelling a little bit...I was wondering if these " clumps" were eggs fungus so on... And what should I do now if they are eggs or fungus...
Why does the glowlight tetra i have hang with the cory cats and not the other 5 glowlight tetras i have?
it is the only glowlight tetra from the original group i had..so i added 5 more glowlights and now its doesnt school with them, he swims with the cory cats who have been in there with it for months.i found this odd
What are good fish that can coexist with pristella tetra fish?
I have 1 small tank with a pristella tetra in my aquarium. I have a filter and a heater so any small tropical fish would work. I keep my tank around 75 to 73 degrees Fahrenheit so nothing that will perish below that please. My tank is around 5 5 1 2 gallons, so nothing gigantic.I want some variety in my tank, so maybe some other tropical fish. Oh, and 1 more thing, nothing expensive please Thank you for your suggestions you see, I had the fish for a few days and I am not able to return it. Any other suggestions?
Tetra and red tail shark?
I am getting 2 tetra and one red tail shark from a friend. They have been together in a 10gal tank, I am wanting to add one or two more tetra, would they be ok in the same tank or would it be to full? also if it would be too full what size tank should I move the shark into?
