Anyone that does comic book illustrations could you please tell me what tools you like to use?
I've decided to take up a new hobby to help with my stories and novels I am writing. I've started to do some of the stories as a comic book, just for a bit of fun, but I realise I really enjoy doing it I use biro or black felt tip pens, over the pencil drawing. I wondered how to add some colour though. An artist in the library said I could use some water colour paints. I've tried colouring pencil but it doesn't look professional. I do it all by hand and not computer, even though in the future I'd love to have ago at it on computer. Any tips for beginners would be useful, or is there any websites, books that would be beneficial to read. I didn't realise how creative and fun graphic novels, comics are.

I know how to make Happy and Sad and Wink and Angry > and Bear 8 and Glasses 8 and add noses. I've seen many more but never learned them and now can't find them to copy. Thanks for anything different or any website you can offer.

What shall my essay title be for horror illustration?
for my A2 graphics ive been given the brief to modernise an old book using illustration. i have chosen the gashlycrumb tinies by ed gorey because his illustrations are a bit dark and he uses victorian words and names. i have to accompany my work with an essay. this doesnt have to be on the same thing but because im doing horror illustration i want to do something based on that. i was going to do about how tim burton brings the horror genre to children but its a bit too narrow. please help

What is Coid Illustration Board?
My professor gave me my first art assignment for a 2 D Design class. On the supplies list, he typed " Coid Illustration Board" . I don't know if he means cold illustration board. I went to the art store, gave them the list, and they gave me big sheets of paper and 3 cardboard things. I don't know which one I'm supposed to be using for my assignment. Is the " coid illustration board" the thin paper one or the cardboard one. I heard that the cold illustration board gives " texture" but these 3 boards look smooth to me. It's white on one side and brown ish on the other.Which one should I be using?
