It would be great if I could post text and pics to the blog from my cell (iPhone). Maybe even video?? I'm new at the whole blog thing, so it really would need to be free and pretty easy to use. THANKS!

Try wordpress.com/ If you have internet on your cellphone, you can post pics, otherwise you can't. On just about any blog.

Https:/ / blogger.com/ start and i'm pretty sure that you can text message pics to them and have them post the pic onto your blog automatically.

I must say that I just started a blog with blogger and I find it pretty difficult to use. Navigating around in it is pretty flawed. I have difficulty finding other people's blogs even if I have the name of them. Maybe I'm just not tech savvy enough. It is easy to create a cool looking blog with blogger... and if you just want to share it with friends and family by sending a link it might be a good fit for you. If you want to make a blog that is accessible to the public I would try somewhere else.

I've used blogger and wordpress. I much prefer blogger. You can check mine out here: http:ethertap.blogspot.com I'm no programming genius, but I think I've managed to put together a fairly slick blog.
