Why don't video game patchers work on my computer?
I used to be able to play video games just fine until recently. For some reason, all of my games that need patching using updaters patchers , have not been working. I used to be able to patch and play them around week ago, until I did a system restore.I have no idea what went wrong the system restore was only just a few hours back from when I used it. Since then, video game patchers have been failing. Games like Ragnarok Online, Talesrunner, FlyFF, Mabinogi, Rumble Fighter, Exteel, and Fantasy Tennis all say they cannot patch. For example, when I open the patcher for a game, the little website inside the patcher that shows what has been updated always comes up with one of those pages saying your internet isn't working, or the patcher comes up with an error stating that it cannot connect. I can't even sign into messengers like MSN or AIM. Again, I have been able to use them all in the past a few days ago without any problems.My OS is Windows Vista Home Edition 32 bit . My ISP is AT& T and my anti virus is AVG. I have tried uninstalling my anti virus and port forwarding with no luck. I have scanned my whole computer multiple times, too..This stumps me.. will any kind person try to help me?ThanksI have also tried disabling my firewall.

Monitor/Video Card Problem - Detailed Inside?
Ok so out of nowhere my monitor has these blue and red lines blinking all over the place. If I try to put the refresh rate at 60 hz where its supposed to be, it goes ape shit crazy and I cant even read anything on the monitor because its going nuts. But, this problem is quite weird.I have an on board video card, and my PCI E video card. I also have two monitors.The current HD monitor has the problem with the PCI e video card, but the other monitor works perfect.The HD monitor though, works perfectly with the on board video card.So I have no idea if it is a monitor problem or a video card problem, since they both work under different conditions. The HD monitor works with the on board video perfectly, while the non hd monitor works perfectly with the PCI E video card. the HD monitor will not work in 1080p at all. the screen goes crazy when I try. I have to keep it at a low refresh rate and resolution to do anything on it. Odd. I know. Any help would be a great service. Btw. I already tried separate drivers for the PCI E card. I also redid my whole OS totally. So thats not it either. I'm lost. Which doesnt happen very often, lol.Hey Jay. I did try that stuff, sadly. Although the weird thing is when I use a different monitor, my PCI E card works perfectly. No artifacts or anything. But, the monitor that has the problems, works perfectly with the on board ATI card. So both the monitor and the video card work perfectly, they just dont want to work with each other. Do you think a bad DVI HDMI adapter could be the cause? When using the PCI E card it wont let me change the refresh rate above 30hz, or put a high resolution. Otherwise the whole screen goes nuts and is unreadable. But, that only happens with the 1080p monitor. Works fine if I use my other monitor, which I dont want, lol.Err.. meant to say Joey not Jay.
