What would be the average? price per tree to have a fruit tree pruned.?
I know it varies. They are slightly overgrown but not too bad. What can i expect on average. i was quoted by one company at $185 for eight trees. Another at $280. The guy who quoted me $280 said that he will properly prune the trees, and that most people just shape fruit trees like bushes and shrubs and this is improper pruning.? Thank you

Question about when to prune palmate leaves?
I acquired what I believe to be a Schefflera, and the person before me had severely over watered it. I repotted it, and have been pruning back all the too diseased leaves, and others have been falling off on their own. It's gotten to the point where there are new shoots coming in, but some of them come in already a little deformed looking. My question is if I should prune the adult shoots that have a few of the leaves of the palmate missing most seem to have around 7 normally a lot of the palmates are only holding 3 4 of the number they should have . Should I leave them there or are they draining energy from the new shoots and other palmates that have all the digits? Thanks so much
Pruning tips for my umbrella tree? (Survivor of a brutal attack)?
Hi there.I have an umbrella tree Schefflera actinophylla that is over 12 years old. It's such a wonderful tree. However, last year I had an unfortunate accident with the tree. You see, I'm terrified of Bees, and one day I came home and went in my room and there were 3 wasps flying around. I bailed immediately. Got dressed in all long sleeve jeans overcoats ect. I was ready for war And I armed myself with some bleach and hairspray. I entered the room and went to town on the wasps.Well, lo and behold, my poor umbrella tree caught a pretty good whoopin too. A week or so later the leaves were turning brown and showing their signs of bleach spots. I personally thought the tree was done at that point, but since it a few branches with leaves not affected I kept it around.Flash forward to present day. The tree continues to live, very well. It's amazing to me that it'd recover after such a harsh attack. So, my question is I never knew much about pruning the tree, just water it once a week and leave it in the sunlight. Which I have done. For the leaves I never bothered to remove, how do I go about removing them, some branches the entirety of the leaves are half dead, and some of the branches the only have a few affected leaves. Would it be wise to remove the entire branches if all the leaves are dead? Or.. I'm not sure? Thanks for the tips.
