Question: I need help with business ideas! what kind of businesses does lake tahoe need??

I am trying to come up with some business ideas for the North Lake Tahoe area, any suggestions from people in the Bay Area who visit?? Thanks

Look around. What is missing? What business do the residents usually go a long distance (Reno or farther away) to get to? I would also be careful to do more research than asking on Yahoo Answers.

Think of something creative you dont usually see in the tahoe area, look around San Fransisco or Berkley even. Try to think of something unique.

I would say bars, but business can be slow outside ski season. i go up a lot...i kinda have a place to stay but: 1-a cheap hotel, hostel. 2-a skishop/ bar - so i can get my skis tuned and get a beer. 3-a business...an office, some type of customer service center, processing center, etc...that way there are more jobs than real estate agent, lift loader, and dealer. i don't know what to tell you...i owuld love to live up there but there's not much of a job base.
