What is the general term for a remote controlled camera?
I'm look for the nomenclature or the general name for a remote controlled camera. The type of camera I'm talking about either has a joystick or in most cases a flat remote that controls the tilt, pan and zoom of the camera. I've seen a few people use them as their web cams. Every time I google " remote controlled camera" I get a lot of garbage. If you know the name of this type of setup or even better you have a link that would more than help me out. Thanks

I'm historically a still camera person but I have just got motion sickness and want to buy a video camera. I understand the literature and features but just can't make up my mind. Please let me give you some idea of my wish list I am willing to spend AUD 3000.00 I like hard drive or SD cards rather than tape. I want something well made rugged with good sharpness and low light capabilities. I'm up for something that's not necessarily full auto.If you can offer me some suggestions I am your genie
Looking for a DSLR Camera?
Hello PhotographersI m looking to purchase a nice camera for my aunt s birthday that is next month before I ship off to USMC boot camp. I am a techie, but cameras specs are just not in my forte. So what I will do is give you guys the uses of the camera, and what I m looking at. The main purpose of the camera is going to be taking pictures of children. She is a teacher that runs an after school program, and also takes pictures to put an online album of her child s little league games. So therefore the camera will need to take excellent fast movement pictures. She takes pictures of the kids just being natural and of their faces. Also as far as moving pictures she likes to do drive by photos when on the road. Right now she has an old point and shoot digital camera. It only has 7.1 mega pixels and sometimes photos will not come out well. With this camera she takes about 2 3 hundred photos per game. She likes to take pictures of kids sliding home or throwing the ball, so she has to time everything right with slow processing camera to capture the moment in time with all dirt clouds, and the facial expression, the whole atmosphere thing. You can imagine it can be difficult doing that with an old digital. So she needs to take rapid fire pictures, that way she knows she got it. That I at least know you need a DSLR camera to do. Also the camera would need good rechargeable built in battery life, since her current camera runs on AA batteries which die often, especially if they are not lithium, they will die in a day. I m willing to spend a good chunk of money on the camera since it would last her years. She takes very nice pictures but she is amateur when it comes to technical, so I don t want to get her a very complicated camera. I imagine she s decent with lenses, but she would have to take some time to learn all of the camera s features iso and terms like that since she is used to point wait shoot camera that does all that for her and with auto focus as well. It would be ideal if this new camera had a very good quality auto mode. Also she likes to take black and white photos since they look nice and are popular. I have tried comparing cameras and just looking at the specs is one thing, but getting advice from experienced people who recommend one that suits her needs best. I don t want to just pick one based on its awesome specs or price that might not be the greatest for her uses.My spending range is about $500 $750 for a camera with lens since they sell in kits. I prefer to get it from newegg.com since they have amazing shipping and service or at least from amazon.com. I have made two comparison charts to help, and you won t have to search as much. If you feel there is better options, feel free to explore outside those choices, these are just what I m looking at.Examples Canon Rebel T1i, XS, XSi, Nikon d3000Her Camera store.kodak.com store ekconsus en US pd Z710 Zoom Digital Camera productID.146585700Two comparisons charts newegg.com Product Productcompare.aspx?Submit ENE& N 100006865 %20600053231 %204021& IsNodeId 1& bop And& CompareItemList 784 %7C30 120 355 %5E30 120 355 TS %2C30 120 278 %5E30 120 278 TS %2C30 113 222 %5E30 113 222 TS %2C30 184 096 %5E30 184 096 TS %2C30 184 108 %5E30 184 108 TSamazon.com gp search ref sr nr p 72 0?rh n %3A172282 %2Cn %3A %21493964 %2Cn %3A502394 %2Cn %3A281052 %2Cn %3A3017941 %2Cp 36 %3A 75099 %2Cp n condition type %3A2224371011 %2Cp 72 %3A1248879011& bbn 3017941& ie UTF8& qid 1283440567& rnid 1248877011I appreciate everyone's help in advance. Please be thorough on your choice, so I may understand why you chose that camera.I also know that in order to get the best speed, I need a high class memory stick. What size is good? Needs to hold about 500 of whatever camera you choose. She will probably take videos with the camera two, but that's not its main use.Something like this newegg.com Product Product.aspx?Item N82E16820208536
