Question: Which camera should i get?

Well, I kinda want to start doing some photography just as a hobby. My birthday is coming up so my parents are probably giving me $200 to og towards a camera or they are getting me the flip ultra HD. I cant decide between the flip which takes videos or some other cameras listed below. The only reason I put the Flip in there is because im gonig to a concert soon, so I either want to take a video of the full setlist or just take pics with my new camera. But my family has a digital camera already so idk....

Obviously the Nikon D3000. It's an DSLR, and it's the best camera on the list.

$200? Your only option here is the Flip Ultra HD.

Nikon D3000 is a DSLR and has a bigger high quality sensor and the ability to change lenses. Some DSLR cameras even have ability to do HD video, like the Nikon D5000 or Pentax k-x. I say go with the quality. Get a DSLR camera, like the D3000 Hope that helps. Mark

I use a Flip Ultra HD and have used it in the worst possible conditions (dark and loud environments) Some of my videos: youtube.com/ watch?v= o6p0p8j2x9Y youtube.com/ watch?v= N6rt1_iKx7M - close up youtube.com/ watch?v= PDYBcSO4M9Y - loud environment Obviously best use for the Ultra would be good lighting conditions and not so loud environments. (The video with the dancer that my friend recorded was really close to speakers) If you feel like it's a good system then check Amazon ($150 cheapest price on the market) - bit.ly/ au83Nf Other alternatives for pocket cams: Kodak Zi8 - bit.ly/ afSudd (pros - 1080p, external mic, and sd cards, cons: stability) Creative Vado - bit.ly/ 9nswL8 (720p, external mic input) I have no experience with the other cameras so I'm not going to pretend that I'm an expert at them.
