BULB mode on pentax camera?
I have a Pentax SF 10 Film camera. The manual says under " Using Bulb Mode" to plug in a switch the Cable Switch F into the camera but they don't explain if that's necessary.I was wondering if I NEED that switch, or if it just lengthens the amount of time the bulb setting can be used.any information would be helpful 1. how long does the bulb mode usually last? how long will the shutter stay open, basically 2. is the " pentax cable switch f" necessary?thanks

Asahi Pentax Camera..?
Hey I am trying to do a little research on this camera that I have had in my family for a while and I wanted to know just how much it is worth at the moment, It is an Asahi Pentax Camera . All I know about it is that on the lens it says 635 1274 ASAGI OPT. Co., JAPAN. SMC PENTAX M 1 1.7 50mm. and on the actual camera itself it says ME super. Im not sure if that means anything. Pentax Cameras?
If Pentax was an automobile manufacturer..who would it be the equivalent of? A ford, a porsche, a bmw, an alfa romeo? I mean in terms of being up against the likes of say, Nikon or Canon....Is pentax considered an el cheapo version of these two brands or does it hold it own in the playing field of photography. Would a full on proffesional photographer choose a Pentax over a Canon camera for instance? Or is this brand what Squire is to fender? In terms of quality not so much marketing where does it sit??

K1000 Asahi Pentax Camera PLEASE help!?
I recently bought a used Asahi Pentax camera. However, I did not realize until I got home that the knob to roll film was not on the camera. My sister has the same camera, but broken, she said that if it was possible to fix the camera, she would let me take the peice from her broken camera.
