Have you ever successfully convinced someone to spay or neuter their dog?
If you did what did you do? Did you take them to a shelter? Did you show them where pet store puppies come from?I was able to convince my friend to spay her chihuahua by showing her how much it cost to properly care for a mother and her pups and I took her to the shelter for the first time Seriously in her life.Please share if you have any experiences.
Is my dog gunna die soon?
My dog is about 15 years old and I have had him since I was 1 years old, I am now 15 years old. He has been breathing really loud and i think he's deaf. But lately he's been sitting around just staring at stuff and sleeping. He gets up and walks around then just lays down. I don't want him to die cause i will be depressed, and he was my first dog and everything. Im gunna really miss him if he does and I do not think I would be able to go to school or anything. I dont want to be crying at school.
Potty Training/ Train a 3 month old dog?
Hey guys, i have a 3 month old poodle mix. We got it from a friend and the dog is very irritating We are trying to potty train him. What should we do? Ive read other answers saying to take it outside about 30 minutes after it eats. then see if it pee poops, and if it does you give them a treat or something. We've done that and it doesnt do anything. she comes back inside our laundry room and pees. ALSO, the dog will not sleep. well maybe it does when we are sleeping but it WHINES. it whines sooo much i feel sad and we feel that she is crying. she only sleeps peacefully when she is resting on our leg. what should we do here also? how do we make it fall asleep?Am i too late to train it because it is 3 months old? And is that a old age for a poodle mix?? help pl0x
My dog got stuck to another dog. She was wimpering so my hubbie and I got them apart. cud she get prego?
The other dog tried to mate with my other dog five minutes after but my other dog would have none of it. She is spade. Could my first dog be prego?One is spayed one is not but has an appointment next week. My daughter found a dog roaming the street we brought it home to find it's owner. It has a colar but no tags. It tried to mate with both dogs. The one not spayed we had to wait til she was old enough. I should have been more clear. Thanks guys
My old dog had 2 seizures. What should I do?
My dog is 15 years old turning 16 next month . About 3 4 days my dog had her 1st seizure. Yesterday she had her 2nd seizure. Both seizures lasted about a minute. She acted normal again after the seizures ended. We took her to the vet yesterday and had her blood test. The blood test came out fine. The doctor says that since she had 2 seizures in two days close to each other..there's a high chance that she'll get another one. He also says that dogs can die after having a seizure. Is it true that dogs can die after or while having a seizure? Is the chance high? The doctor gave us medication called phenobarbital to give her every 12 hours that will prevent her from having seizures. We already gave her twice so far and I feel so bad cause she is having bad side effects. She is really lethargic and have trouble standing and walking. She can't balance herself and she keeps falling and sometimes falls on her face. I prefer not giving her the medication because of the side effects. She is already 16 years old so I want her to stay happy until she dies. But I am worried that she'll die with another seizure if I don't give her the medication? Is the chance of a dog dying with a seizure high? I read about a lot of cases of dogs having seizures online....but there was never a dog who died after having it. They say the dogs are normal even after they have seizures and these dogs had more seizures than my dog. But, my dog is really old and had the seizures on days close to each other...so i am worried about that too...I talked to the doctor about her side effects today but the doctor says to just continue giving her the medication to prevent her from having another seizure. I was just wondering if it would be a better idea to not give her the medication since she only had 2 seizures that only lasted about a minute and she becomes very normal after it ends. If the chance of a dog dying from a seizure is low...I prefer not giving her the medication...
Has anyone used PG 600 to induce estrus for their dog?
Just wondering if any breeders have used PG 600 injections to induce a heat cycle for their dogs? If so was it successful for you? Did you give your injection IM in muscle or Sub Q under the skin ? Did it make a difference to which injection site you used? Just trying to find out some answers, to give some advice to my friend who considered using this on her dog. Thank You
Why is my dogs eye raw?

Why does my dog bite when she tries to lick?
The title is pretty self explanatory. When my dog tries to " kiss" us, she has started biting as she licks. She has always kinda done this but very rarely. Now it's every time and yesterday she drew blood on my nose. Why does she do this? Can I train her out of it or do I just need to train her out of licking altogether? I want her to feel like she can show affection but I have a baby and can't have her biting faces. Please help
Will my dog suffocate?
Our puppy is 10 weeks old, she is a real sweet Chihuahua. The thing is she sleeps in our bed at night and in the last 2 nights she has taken to crawling down to where our feet are. I'm worried she won't get enough oxygen under there. Would she crawl back out if she wasn't okay, or would she lay there and suffocate?
