My dog had puppies february 13 when will she go into heat again?
Can puppies be absorbed at 44 days?
our bitch mated on the 13th july had scan at 28 days vet reqested re scan again at 35 days then again at 44 days was advised to take for check up before starting whelping was advised on scan at 44 days was 2 heartbeats posibly more and to go ahead with whelping box etc but today was advised that there is infact no puppies or sign of pregnancy.am worried as was advised there was puppies there and now being told not now and it could be a phantom she has started all the signs of nesting etc today is her 60th day the vet also advised he would have expected to see milk by now we have been given medication to give her but are reluctant to du so as this can cause abortion in bitches and as she has a bulge on her left side that we believed to be a pup growing asked vet what this lump could be as when she lays on her back you can actually cup it in hand all he said was it sure aint a pup but he nvr examined her so how could he possibly know can anybody offer advicei have been so upset been crying all day i did suggest an xray as bulge on her side is just below her rib cage and seems to go under ribs but this was dismissed by vetmy vet recommends using this medication straight away and refused to acnolidge an x ray does anybody agree with me i should delay this medication till after her due date she would be due to whelp around tue nxt week
My 5 month old lab puppy bites me... how to stop him?? and what should be the length of his tail?
i have a 5 months old lab puppy, i brought him home when he was 5 weeks of age.... and from that day till today neither of his days had passed without pinning me with his sharp puppy tooth. he bites so hard that it cuts my skin... he only bites me and has never mouthed on anyone else.... how to stop him doing so?? for this reason i have provided him with many dog toys.... but he likes chewing my fingers ,more than those toys.... i have tried to make him teach that biting is not appreciable ,but it dint work.... he never leaves me a second alone,and 24 hours remains near me,he has no interest on anything except biting me and being with me.... i dont know how to make him right....and for his tail, it is so long that it remains 1" from the ground... is it ok.??? he stands 17" tall.
Male dog aged 2 humping 18wk old male puppy?
Brought 18 week old male rottweiler puppy home 3 days we also have 3 border collies 2 females 3 and 5 yrs old and a male 2yrs old Im happy to say that puppy has settled dogs seem to be getting use to him still some growling esp from oldest female who we think is alpha dog.Today the male and pup was bouncy round the garden playing with eachother and wrestling eachother it was lovely to watch tails wagging away i was so pleased i was surprised that the male was first to play with male coz he doesnt get on with any dogs apart from his own pack. Then he started humping the pup and wont stop it any chance he gets he does is and pup trying to do it back to him im aware this is dominance behaviour but will this lead to problems?They are fine outside with eachother but when in doors male will growl at pup and show teeth.The youngest female had a play with pup aswell when she seen male playing with him, pup was trying to get on her back aswell.. oldest female has nothing to do with pup sits in the corner and watches them all playing and when pup goes to her she growls and shows teeth. I want them all to get along. any advice as to what is happening and what to do..thanks

Puppy trying to dominate? Help please?
My four month old female puppy keeps trying to dominate my foot by like humping it... and i tell her NO in a stern voice but that isn't working. Has anyone else had this problem with their dog and has resolved it? I would really appreciate some help here.I'm not going to hit her.. but maybe I will try the time out thing.
Any help with a scared beagle puppy..?
I have a 7 month old female beagle puppy, and being around new people scares her beyond belief.She loves to be around me, my boyfriend, and our roommate as well as other animals but she has so much anxiety around all other people. When she firsts sees a person outside she wags her tail and is very happy, but as soon as the person approaches she tries to get away and tucks her tail between her legs. Whenever anyone comes into our apartment, she howls up a storm and cowers. I honestly do not know what has happened to her, we live in an area where she is around other people and their dogs quite a bit but she is still frightened.I have another beagle as well.. and she is exactly the opposite, loves everyone..I love her and I would never get rid of her, I was just hoping someone would have some advice or maybe some techniques I could try to help her out.. I hate to see her so scared.Oh, I should also mention that we've even tried to have new people give her treats when they come around but she doesn't want anything to do with it which for her is shocking because she LOVES food.
How can my puppy lighten up?
I have a new puppy that came home on Wednesday. I was told he doesn't play well with others and I'm hoping its because he is only 3 months old and has always lived in a shelter until now.I spend a great deal of time with other family and friends who have dogs and I don't want to leave the pup at home or not be able to host. So today I started with taking him to the park and letting him see other dogs. He did some light barking I think he is guarding me. He is small, only 10lbs. I want to bring him to meet my sister's 4 year old 17 lb pug and then make our way up with larger dogs.Any suggestions? My plan is to just dive in and watch his body language and be calm use positive reinforcement.Thanks ps he is half italian greyhound half chihuahua < 3
How do I situate a new puppy with my older dog?
In the next month or so I will be getting a new puppy. I already have a miniature dachshund, Boris, who is going on fourteen. What is the best way to keep him reassured of the place in our family? He's been very lonely since our other dog, Henry, was put to sleep in February.

I imported this standard poodle puppy from France , she is of russian bloodlines . Its been three weeks and I still can't figure out a name for her.
