Why is my koi pond water grey?
I checked my pond ph and it was around 8 8.5.I did a partial water change and now the pond water is a grey smoky blue color.2 fish died.I'm assuming it was a sudden ph crash, but does adding a little tap water change the ph that much?What do i do? How fast does water in a koi pond evaporate?
We have a medium sized koi pond in our backyard, and I cannot seem to figure out whether the water is leaking out somewhere or it's just evaporating. There are some times where it stays level for a couple weeks. Sometimes, like yesterday, it goes down really fast. It's around 80 where I live. Also, if it does evaporate, does it happen on dry days or humid days?Would pouring water into the pond work, and what kind of water possibly dechlorinated? would it have to be?Thanks

I have a small pond that i am going to put Koi fish in what plants should i get?
I know i am going to get some lily pads and some water lily's but besides this i have no clue. i no my pond needs lots of shade but my pond is in the wide open so i am counting on plants for the shade. also Should i have some kind of bottom for my pond? there is some dirt on the bottom but u can see the liner mostly. i was thinking like pebbles what do u think? Any suggestions or ideas for my pond please include. right now i have a 300gph pump fountain. it also filters the water. ThanksAlso do u think i is big enough for koi fish? Its about 10ft by 10t and its about 2ft deep. Also there is probably a 3ft by 3ft round island in the middle. The deepest corner could be 3ft.
