Question about AT&T's 8525 pda smartphone (WIFI)?
I have a question about how to use the wifi feature on the at& t 8525 phone. First of all when i connect to my home network via wifi, the wifi icon in the phone displays that im connected to my wireless network but it also displays an " E" i things it stands for " edge" . So my question is Is this normal? Am i really using my wireless connection or Am i connecting to the internet through At& t. Its just that " edge" thing that is making me guess. ohh and sometimes when i try to connect it say " Connecting to GPRS..." .So yeah thats my question.
If i upgrade my phone to a pda smartphone on AT&T do i HAVE to pay for the monthly data plan ?
can i not want it ? and not have internet ?

Paying for a PDA/Smartphone for AT&T, is the data plan needed?
I'm wanting to buy an AT& T Tilt or Pantech Duo, but I'm not really up to paying 30$ for the data plans. Is it possible to buy the phone and have it under my current plan without paying for the data plan? And if I do, would I still be able to text under my unlimited texting plan? Oh, and I won't be using the web browser or email, so I don't mind if I can't use have to pay more for those. I just want the phone for talking, taking pictures, and texting with a keyboard .

I'm with AT& T, and I live in America. I currently have a flip style phone don't know what it's called anymore , and if I upgrade it to a Blackberry Bold, would I have to change my phone number? Can you use a PDA smartphone on verizon single plan and not pay for internet?
I have a single verizon plan with unlimited texting to verizon and I pay $15 extra for 1500 extra texts to non verizon people. If I get a PDA phone does it require me to pay for a plan with Internet? Or can I keep my same plan and use the PDA phone? REMINDER THIS IS A PDA PHONE NOT A BLACKBERRY.Thanks help is much appreciated

Hi, my o2 contract has ended and i'm left with the XDA Ignito HTC Diamond and boy do I want to change it I've previously had the XDA Orbit 1 and 2 and would like to move away from the HTC models, I've found them quite slow especially the Ignito.
