Do some of you find online social networking/messaging kinda pretentious/weird?
i know it's ironic to be asking that here, but do some of you find online communication other than normal email kinda weird and prententious? i'm mostly talking about message boards, forums, chat rooms. and also facebook, myspace. or maybe it's about all the information on there that people tend to give at times. i mean it's good to keep in touch with friends, but otherwise??i dunno why, but i feel that a normal phone call, email, snail mail, or just hanging out beats any of thoseor if you know the person well enough, just stopping by and saying hi
What does it mean when your significant other lies about being apart of a online social network that...?
...you already know he she is apart of?I already knew my girlfriend has a facebook and a my space, but i didn't fully know if she had a twitter or anything else.. so i searched her name and found her twitter. I red every comment, reply, and re twit she wrote. It wasn't too bad reading it except i found out she went out Saturday night drinking and smoking with friends when she told me she was staying in. MY GF IS A GOOD LIAR except when she gets caught but what she doesn't know is that I'm a sneaky person...Well last night i asked her if she had a twitter... and she gave me a " believable no" of course like i stated early i already know she does so i ask her again twice " are you sure?" , and she gets defensive... what do you guys n gals think?Watch what you put on these social network sites there not secure anybody can see what you post I wouldnt have trust issues if she wouldnt have cheated on me in the pastPeople keep telling me to leave her but i love herYou guys are all right i cant be in denial nemore, i gota pick the right time to leave, i cant do it now tho

Theres this person who i added to my friends and am really interested in just by their description of themself and their interests. Even tho were on eachothers friends list we havent messaged eachother. So my question is, what should i send in my first message to initiate showing interest in them, while making them like me too?Should i compliment there appearance? Or ask them about something we seem to have in common? Or use a line? or etc..?
